In 2011, the WellPoint Foundation donated $195,000 to FHCE to support the operation of the U.S. Uninsured Help Line and the quarterly updates of the Health Care Options Matrix for each of the 14 WellPoint states. Since 2004, with nearly $2 million in grants provided to FHCE, the Wellpoint Foundation has been instrumental in helping FHCE lower the ranks of the uninsured. The WellPoint Foundation is the philanthropic arm of WellPoint, Inc. that promotes the organization’s inherent commitment to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families in communities that WellPoint serves.
Google, Inc. has agreed to support the Foundation’s online AdWords campaign through a monthly Google Grant. Since the campaign started in September 2008, the traffic to CoverageForAll.org has continually increased month after month.The Google Grants program supports organizations sharing Google’s philosophy of community service to help the world in areas such as science and technology, education, global public health, the environment, youth advocacy, and the arts.
Health Coverage Foundation
In 2011, the Health Coverage Foundation donated over $60,000 to support FHCE’s collaborative outreach efforts with the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association. Since 2009, the Health Coverage Foundation has donated over $100,000 to show its support of FHCE’s mission to lowering the ranks of the uninsured through education. Founded in 2007 by Mr. Michael Bromberg and Mrs. Maryls Bromberg, the Health Coverage Foundation has dedicated itself to helping the uninsured find private health coverage.
In 2011, Pfizer, Inc. generously gave FHCE $100,000 to support its efforts to educate uninsured cancer patients about their health coverage options. With Pfizer’s assistance, FHCE has been able to distribute health coverage materials at hospitals and oncology-focused events throughout the country. Additionally, in 2010, Pfizer donated $10,000 to support the development of the Spanish version of CoverageForAll.org and the print and distribution of our U.S. Directory of Health Care Options. Pfizer is dedicated to helping the uninsured afford their prescriptions through obtaining health coverage or through their patient assistance program, Pfizer Helpful Answers.

For assistance with FHCE’s 2012 uninsured outreach efforts, eHealthInsurance is providing two $10,000 donations throughout the year. The organization believes in the wonderful services FHCE brings to the uninsured community. Previously, eHealthInsurance has supported FHCE’s efforts to provide Health Care Options Matrixes to California’s Employee Development Department. eHealthinsurance is an online source of private health insurance for individuals, families and small businesses.
Health Net Foundation
The Health Net Foundation generously donated $50,000 to support the development and distribution of the Los Angeles County Health Care Options Matrixand updated California Matrix to hospitals, community-based organizations, and at two of the California Partnership for Health Care Advocates meetings throughout the state in 2011. Based in Woodland Hills, Calif., Health Net Foundation was created in 2007 as a philanthropic arm of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT), a publicly-traded managed care organization that delivers managed health care services through health plans and government-sponsored managed care plans. Health Net Foundation’s mission is to serve as a resource to improve people’s health in underserved communities that Health Net, Inc. serves. To achieve its goals, the foundation supports programs that improve access to health care services and promote wellness and prevention.
Health insurance broker, Dan Gruby, firmly believes in FHCE’s mission and that everyone deserves health care. Each year, Dan donates over $1,000 to support FHCE and its resources because they help him connect the uninsured to their health coverage options.
